Appurato il fatto che i supereroi mi stanno sulle superpalle, non sorprende che abbia una passione per i supercattivi. Nonostante fosse una porcheria ben poco riuscita, la prima criticata pellicola sulla Suicide Squad diretta da David Ayer mi era piaciucchiata abbastanza.

Impressione discutibile e sostanzialmente confermata ora dal secondo capitolo, questa volta firmato da James Gunn, quello di Guardiani della Galassia, e si vede.

Il film diverte, soprattutto nella prima spumeggiante parte, poi si perde un po' per strada dietro a una trama sconclusionata e di scarso interesse, con qualche pretesa di discorso politico che non riesce a trasformare questa simpatica pagliacciata in un lavoro serio. E meno male.

The Suicide Squad - Missione suicida è una parata di personaggi idoleschi, dalla solita Harley Quinn al favoloso Nanaue/King Shark passando per la rivelazione Cleo Cazo/Ratcatcher II, che danno del loro meglio, ma avrebbero meritato una storia migliore in cui sguazzare.
In confronto agli altri cinecomics recenti sia della DC che della Marvel, comunque, non c'è da lamentarsi troppo. Io ora sogno uno spin-off solista sulla donnola Weasel girato da Quentin Dupieux/Mr. Oizo.
